    Working in close

I enjoy moving in close to the subject, with mixed results, I might add. I work with what I have at hand now that means lilies in the garden. I'd be intersted in your take on this image.

What, no games today Larry? I'm off for the next 14 days, so I'll be out there shooting non-baseball for a while too.
Lovely lilies. Looks like a dust speck in the top right hand side of the frame.

A good shot with good colour and sharpness. Framing wise there should be a little more room at the bottom and the shadows are a minor distraction.

    Re: Working in close

I love the top half of the photo, where the three or four salks extrude from the flower. What sets it a little off is the way the bottom left looks compared to the rest of the the flower. Just seems a smudge out of place, but I guess leaves to die and fall off. Nice color complements.

    Re: Working in close

Thanks to all three for the comments. I had thought about a tighter crop that split the bottom petal, but decided I liked the flow of the line in the bottom. I may revisit that decision.
