Work Shot - New Camera VI

Greatly reduced shot of construction and some more crops. Sharpening on the large photo and reduced from a slightly different size than the crops, though the same photo. There was a test tag in the whole photo that was cropped before resizing. Proportions retained.

The camera went to work (as this is what the whole project will eventually be for) on Friday the 10 of June 2005. This is part of the I-74 upgrade at downtown Peoria, Illinois. I can truly say as a result, "Will it Play in Peoria"? This is a term from the vaudeville days for those of you who don't know.

One or two more photo sets before I reveal the camera type, tonight if more chaos doesn't erupt and else definitely am tomorrow (MON, JUN 13). Comments are definitly welcome. Guesses as to the camera type also welcome.

This image was made at almost NOON (11:47 am) Partly Cloudy with High Humidity at f11 1/180th, ISO 100 about 50mm focal length.

I like the main pic. Very interesting verticals. Also a good work shot. Plus, everyone seems to be working so none of the construction guys will get mad and it will make the sups happy. This could be a good shot showing the taxpayers' $ at work.

Very nice shot, I agree with GB, could almost be a stock photo to show the progress of the site. Well done and nicely composed with people to add perspective and nice colors!

    Well done,

    Jared

You bet they were working, it was in the nineties both in temperature and humidity and it was still before noon! Sooner they got that days schedule done, the sooner they went home!

One of the tests here is to be able to read the material tag. (The numbers painted on the frame component by the foot in the crop)

I'm glad you liked the pic, the subject made for an eyecatching shot with various details. I've got another one that is a closeup of frame/forms (lots of concrete coming later) that borders on abstract. Yes, this is our tax dollars at work. Just about 10 years overdue though, but that's another story for another place and time.

Thanks for the comments and critque!
