Taken at Beus Pond (local park) with a Canon Rebel and a 300 mm lens. What do you think?

    Re: Wood Ducks

Nice shots; the first picture is sharp but the picture of the pair seems a little OOF. A touch of unsharp mask might clean that up a little. How did you meter the single duck? Center-weighted, or maybe spot, would probably bring out a little more color and definition in the dark areas of the duck and reduce the brightness of the reflecting water.

#1 seems a bit grainy, and the head is kind of soft. #2 is also soft. crank that shutter speed to at least 500 for these I think.
    mostly Nikon gear

Some of our most beautiful birds.

The photos are a little too bright on my display and lack a little color, contrast, and sharpness. If you have a go at them in an image editor you could make them "pop" a bit more. Thanks for sharing. Please post more.

    Re: Wood Ducks

I have changed the lightness and contrast some. I think it is some better.
I am limited as to what I can do because of the original photo was taken with
a hand held 300 mm lens and I had to do a lot of cropping. See the update final
    and the original below.
