    A Winter's Day Portrait!

    Hey Everyone!

The girlfriend and I were bored today, we decided to take our neighbor's child out for a day of pictures. His mother wanted a couple nice portraits to give out to their family.

Im now an off camera flash fanatic, and have been working on off camera flash lighting lately.
I used one flash for this ****, bare at 1/4th power, just right of the camera.

I thought I managed to get a workable natural background with this one!
This one was also my favorite of the day!

    C&C Welcome!

I think this needs a tad more sharpening, I tried sharpening it by one pixel and this made quite a difference. Not that his mum would care, bet she loves this......

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos

I agree it could use a slight sharpening you probably lost something on the resize. But it is a very nice portrait and I am sure the parents will be thrilled. The red against the snowy day works very good.

Fine composition, and very nice work on the eyes Rylan - he looks COLD
Agree with the other about the sharpening, and it probably is just a resize issue that softened it up.

Yeah I find I always look my sharpness on the resize... Not sure why.
