    .... in winter wonderland

Taken during a hike through the forest. It snowed the whole time through.
I am curious about your opinions.

Other than the greyish snow I really like this shot, it has lots of atmosphere with the dark brooding trees fading into the distance and the solitary person looking so alone.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: .... in winter wonderland

This is a pretty awesome photo Ctn. I love the depth and the size of the person in the photo. There seems to be a fog in the woods, and I think that while softening the image it also adds mystery. My only complaint in the bottom snow, which is very plain by comparison: I would crop off a significant part of it, maybe just below where the left side of the road strikes the left side of the frame. Great work.

This one is truly dramatic. It' so calm. I would want to be here whenever I want to be alone. I like the how the photo is framed. How the pictures leads the audience eyes to the person.

I like this one, but I think its a tad underexposed. But the composition is great.

Thanks for all of your feedback
@Hminx: I understand what you are saying, i have made some small adjustments to the photo which reduces the greyness (at least on my screen) its hard to remove it all together since i am looking for a certain atmosphere.
@GB: I tried cropping it but i found it takes away from the lonelyness of the subject. I am very glad you like the overall shot though
@Tom, Jackson & Dan: Thanks for your feedback
Here is the adjusted version. Let me know what you think about the adjustments.

I really like it. Especially after you boosted the exposure a little . The figure also adds a lot. Good work!

    Re: .... in winter wonderland

I would crop about 20% off the bottom as I think this makes a stronger composition ....but everything else is very appealing and well done.

    Re: .... in winter wonderland

Really nice shot. Good composition and story. Yeah, maybe a little off the bottom. And maybe clone out that rectangular object (mile marker?) just to the left of the subject.

But, I really like the shot, reminds me of Van Gogh.

Awesome shot, well deserved feature. I do agree with some of the comments, a bit of a crop on the bottom might help as well as trying to whiten the snow a tad. I do wish the person was a bit larger, but overall I love this shot

    Re: .... in winter wonderland

I am going to buck the majority here, and say that the lower part of the image is important to keep...the long trail of footprints adds depth, isolation and loneliness to the image. Great mood and composition. The only thing I'd suggest changing would be to clone out the thing that looks like some kind of sign post to the left of the person. Well deserved feature.

    Re: .... in winter wonderland

Yes, I love it because of the feeling it gives.

I like the greyish tone because it gives the lonely sombre mood that matches the lone person

Yes, agree that the bottom area should retain, the empty space adds to the loneliness mood
