    Re: Winter walk

In this one, you should have been the first over the fence, to get their faces. One thing I learned from shooting in the snow is that you have to be first in line for any activity to get good shots of people.

Is there a Pied Piper leading the way??

    Re: Winter walk

It's impossible to walk in front of 3 enthusiastic kids heading for the fun of climbing over a stile. I think you captured the fun of the walk. I suppose you could direct the kids to wait because you want to take a pic of them crossing the fence, but then you would probably have the kids posing rather than this natural capture.

I think the shot's color balance is off, giving us some greenish snow.

Get rid of the green/blue cast to this image, print it big and you have a winner here.

Have you tried black and white on this? That would definitely get rid of any color issues you have

Definitely better, did you adjust the white balance ?
Or did you use an adjustment layer?

I think the LZ5 isn't very good as its auto WB and it doesn't have any other option.
I'll have a go in lightroom before it expires...

I Used Photoshop cs3 I Did 3 Things. Image Adjustments 1. Auto Levels 2. Auto Contrast 3. Auto Color. I Do This Method On Almost Every Picture I Take Works Well.

    Re: Winter walk

Decent action shot, slightly ad hoc, but well composed considering. Ronnoco has an idea there but Chunk's comment is also valid -I think that sometimes you have to have a sixth-sense and just know what the kids will do and get there early (I sure don't have it). Btw not sure I like the color adjustment better than the original.. seems too violet to me. But that is in line with Valentine's Day I suppose.

Ah, I have PS CS3 beta as well.
I'll try the auto settings for myself.
    I found PS CS2 wasn't so good.
