Winter tree and bird

Two different views. What do you think? Good? Bad?

I almost like the first but think the bird as point of interest is too high in the image.

Although it looks a bit dark to me I like the first image a lot. BTW Although it does look a bit off at first I think the bird sits in just about the perfect "Rule of Thirds" spot.

I like the sky better in the second image but the bird just ends up getting lost.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought the first one was probably a stronger image. I tried lightening it up a little.
