Winter Sun - another abstract (I should say Impression)

Another photo from my Impressions series. This is from the winter - I guess that is obvious from the title This one was done using a tripod so I think it has a somewhat more "stable" quality than the first one I posted. While editing and finalizing, I found myself inspired a bit by Egon Schiele.... (not to compare myself in the least to this master painter). Comments welcome.

Well, Stew...I've come back to this picture several times now. I think it's a neat concept, your Impressions series. This one reminds me of the effect you get when you try to paint on wet paper, or when you use a fountain pen on a napkin. The trunks and branches seem to flow that way...I have no idea if that will make sense to you...just what I'm seeing. I like it, and I think it will look cool the way you intend to print it (on canvas-like paper, right?)

    Stew

How critical do you want me to be?

These are just nit pics so feel free to disregard.

    1. the twig coming in from bottom centre would be better cloned out, reason is that no painter would think of adding it in as it creates noise, Mother nature thinks different of course.

2.The branches that cross the middle tree trunk almost on the horizon making a near straight line - again because an abstract artist would never make this connection especially on the horizon.

Other than that nice work. I like it.

Is it me or did you wait for the bird to land just left of the middle tree, if you did nice one.

PS any chance you could send some snow to Basingstoke? :-)
