    The Great British Beekeeper

Thanks all for the welcome Two more pics today .. this one is a beekeeper who sells honey at a local craft fair. He's totally eccentric, but a truly good guy. I was trying to capture both sides.

    Cheers

    Re: The Great British Beekeeper

I like the top of this pic but the bottom seems to fade out, like it's overexposed. Nice expression nd I like the way he's wearing all those buttons, etc -- makes it interesting. The background is a little too close in color to his shirt and vest however (it also looks like its from another era, maybe a little out of style? But that isnt too horrible here since you're not doing a fashion shoot).

Finally, it could be a little sharper, esp at the bottom. The eyes are pretty sharp, which is good.

    Hi Mike,

I agree with GB1. Also, is skin looks a bit reddish. Was this shot with tungsten light? If so, you may want to adjust white balance.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Good shot to capture the mood. The bottom is a tad soft, which is distratcing, especially cause he's wearing a striped shirt.

    Good shot,

Mike, I think you accomplished your objective of the photo - he looks like the kind of genuinely interesting person that is just eccentric enough to be a total stand out from the mundane. I'd crop a little off the bottom, but I think you have done well in accomplishing the purpose of your photo.
