    Windpump

I suspect, replaced by an electric solar powered pump.
Does it overpower the scene ?

Overpower? I don't' think so. I think it is the success of the shot! And I love the moon in that vast sky.

I find the clutter at the bottom of the windmill a little distracting. I would personally crop the bottom just above the solid metal base of the windmill.

    Re: Windpump

The windpump is fine in this shot. The distracting "whatever it is" white rectangle on the left, I would edit out. Also, there's not enough in the lower portion of the shot to tell the whole story and, on the other hand, just enough to distract from the other elements included in the image. Its kind of a frustrating shot to my eye as is --- I think I would like to see more in the lower right to give me more of a frame of reference, or else, as Shooter Tiff said, please crop the bottom just above the metal base of the windpump.

One thing for sure, it looks like a beautiful day!

    Re: Windpump

I might have tried an angle to bring the moon a little closer to the windmill. Nice shot in any case. The angle I'm thinking of is more to the right, it might then provide a better contrast of old and new as one could actually make out a bit better that it is in fact a solar panel. S
