    Window Shopping

I have a couple of versions of this one and have been going back and forth all evening. What do you think? I am on the road and not on my regular computer so editing is slow.

    Re: Window Shopping

Hi Greg ... I like this one! It has a minimalistic feel to it which is very pleasing and the red of the flowers at the bottom sets it off. I suppose you could argue that both sides are somewhat similar but, to me, it presents a nice symmetry. I assume there is detail in the white areas.

This is a wonderful shot. It's so economical and formally perfect.

    Re: Window Shopping

Greg this is really excellent and it ticks off all the boxes for me. The best shot by far that I have seen on the forum in a long time. Just wish it were mine. To be a really pain in the rear end I would suggest cropping up tighter to the flower boxes and remove what ever is left of the vertical black line at the bottom.
    Congrats on this.

I like the style in the shot as well. To me the colors at the bottom in the flowers are too over saturated for my taste. The crack in the side walk could show how things are the same but alittle different. What are the other versions you have ?

Thank all for the comments and suggestion. You help me more than you realize. Here is an alternate version. I like it but felt the symmetry and additional heads help add more to the first version shot. At one point I added a couple of the heads from the first frame to this one but it just looked to PSed and crowded.

Greg - Fun shots. I like both, but kind of gravitate towards the second. The first one is good too but the symmetry sort of drives me nuts, like it's a reflection - but then it isn't. I think the second would be better if the right side wall was plain (no brick) and perhaps the flowers were a little farther from the right edge.

    Re: Window Shopping

I'm going to echo Overbeyond and say the first one is one of the best shots I've seen this year. What drives GB1 nuts about it is exactly what I like about it. The secons is ok but compared to the first, I find it lacking.

    Hi Greg,
I like the 2 shots. I think the black and white colours work well here. As mentioned before, I wish the colour of the flowers were a bit desaturated to fit the theme. Well done!

Thanks Kukujang, I shot this with Fuji Reala I don't remember boosting the saturation in PPing but I will tone it down and see if I like it better. Thanks for the input.

    Re: Window Shopping

Since most think the flowers are over saturated, I'd just like to say that I don't and the vivid color not only stands out but makes the rest stand out too.

    Greg,

Could have sworn I responded to this - but

So here goes - I love it as is - just the right amount of detail in the whites to emphasise the windows and the colours jump out at you.

I like it as is - I mean the first posting

Not to keen on the second as the pot is too washed out.
