    Winchester Triptyches

    Hi all

I worked these triptyches up from images I took in Winchester Cathedral on Thursday.

The first is from a series of seven ikons they have. They are relatively modern.

The second is from a series of four stained glass panels in a side chapel which follow the story through from Eve to Mary.

I find that triptyches are a good way of presenting photos when a single image just doesn't tell the story adequately.

As always, any comments are appreciated.

    Cheers
    Mike

    Re: Winchester Triptyches

I'm going to have to try that someday.
I think this type of subject is perfect for it.
In the first one it appears that the panels are at different distances with the middle one being closer. It isn't much, but enough to throw my eye off.
The second one looks fine to me.

Very clean and tidy Mike and the colour combinations in the top three are really nice. They work a treat.

These are both quite nice. I don't notice what Frog pointed out in the first, but the one nit-pick I have with the second is the random window stiles - 8 panel / 8 panel / 12 panel and no two line up horizontally either.

I believe that the latter images were above and that the angle is very high.
For me are slightly crushed. With a PP can be corrected. I hope that I explained in my English. I have tried and are successful. If you allow the sending photos

Very nicely put together and hard to capture like this well done. I like the colours in the stain-glass. The partitioning looks different for each window, but this is maybe your you have resized? Anyway it doesn't bother me or take away overall. S

Please don't edit and re-post or use my images (not that you'd want to anyway...). without my written permission. Thank you
