Greg - I like the general feel of the picture a lot. The trees in the background, leaning away as though with a wide angle lens, and the shadows across the ground, work very well. It's a good mono shot - and works much better in mono than it would in colour.

The upside down grave bothers me though. Could you turn it around? I sense this could be a great picture, apart from that one thing.

    Cheers

The grave facing away is the only thing that bothers me a bit, too, but I'm thinking it probably doesn't have the great surroundings if you stood on the other side. Upon reflection it doesn't bother me that much as it does force my eye to pay attention and yet does not detract from the surroundings.

Great shot. I like the upside down grave look. It make it more of a shot of the whole cemetery than just the one grave. And I think B&W works best too.

Bakerman35, What did you think of the big city of Resaca?
Frog, Mike, I thought of flipping the headstone but it is such a historic place I didn't.

I like this a lot but for me the problem with this is the contrast-there is too much.

I like to shoot cemeteries on foggy/misty mornings. You get a lot more depth then.

I do wonder about presenting that image with the stone upside down to the viewer but I think with a big print it won't be all that much of an issue.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Thanks MB I will try and get back to it. I agree some mist would be great.
