    The Wife...

    Not bad but the whole image is too grey/dark with not enough detail around his neck. I also think you could make it a squarer crop to remove some empty background from the left.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Hmm. Overall, nice work. I would have preferred if there was more space above his head. But I'll caveat that with I've never been a big fan of the zoomed-in B&W human drama shots (even though they DO make a good impression sometimes). I sort of like the big white zone in the back. I do believe that the fact that you can't see his face sort of takes away from the shot, but this does add mystery sometimes. All depends how one looks at it I guess.........

    I don't think it's too dark/grey, you've got a white, got a black, and I can see enough in whats important.

    However, I don't know how I feel about the blown out white next to him. I can't decide whether it distracts my eyes from the subject, or whether it adds an interesting meaning/aesthetic.

    Beautiful picture though.
