    Whooping Crane

    Hello all,

This is my first post so clearly my first photo out for critique. The subject is the critically endangered Whooping Crane seen here at the Jacksonville Zoo. The only editing done to the original is a closer cropping. I am very interested in taking wildlife photos for an upcoming trip to Alaska and I know zoo animals are easier than those in the wild but its a start.

BTW I have owned my camera for 48 hours so this is very much a first attempt at something like this and my experience is very limited. (so take it easy but please be honest :wink5: )

Hmmm: This picture lost a tremendous amount of clarity in the resizing. If you have a suggestion for this it would be appreciated.

Great composition and colors too. Nice first post. If you don't have PhotoShop try to resize here..
