    Who’s there?

I found this boat-tailed grackle yesterday morning rooting around in the grass. When I got close to him, he became very energized and started calling and pointing his beak in the air. Comments are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Greg

I really like the different shades of blue in this bird. I think the dof is good and I like how the bird has his neck straight. I would just like to see the rest of him, personally. But the picture is still great - nice dof and the colors of your subject are very appealing ecspecailly with the (mostly) green bckgrd. Good job!

Interesting picture. Though I love the colors, the few unfocused weeds in front of the body are distracting and taking away from the tall, vertical sense of the picture. If they had been in focus, it would draw your eyes upwards towards the head. Also, incorporating (sp?) more of the body would reduce the effect of the weeds. I may be nit picking and sorry if it seems a tad harsh!

    Good shot,

    Jared
