    White with black? Or Black with White?

    Another shot from a day at the gardens!!


    Old D70 fights on after being dropped,soaked,and tens of thousands of images!

    I like the contrast and composition of the photo but I have to admit shooting this in black and white might have not been the best choice. The details of the darker petals are lost in the background. Do you have an original colour version?

    yeah, I agree that the contrast is a bit high on this one. It wipes out most of the detail.

    It's interesting you chose B&W for this cause there's several subjects that normally do not take to B&W well - sunrises and sunsets, and ... flowers. But sometimes going against the grain is worthwhile.
