I think the use of fill flash would have benefited this photo

Re: Where the grass is not greener

I think you caught some mood here.
Even thought the tittle says 'where the grass is not greener' it seems all the colors are very flat. That may be as it was, but I think a little saturation and contrast might help.

The road running through his head, the fence, and all of the background are poorly placed and distracting. Wider aperture might have helped blur it more but still.

I think a closer shot with less background and probably a different angle would have helped.

Re: Where the grass is not greener

By the way he is flipping me off and giving me the evil eye... he wasn't too happy I was taking pictures of him. This was the first shot I took, I flipped the flash on and tried again but it was too late. lol he began making these funny faces and jumped off the tire before I could try to get him to cooperate. I got one other picture with the flash.

Thanks, Frog. I will try to keep that in mind for the next picture. I gave him my back and then turned and snapped a picture. I could tell he wasn't in the mood but I had to try. Next time I will think more about the angle.
I will try to adjust the colors a bit more and see how they come out.

I think you could lose some at the top and also dodge his face and arms slightly.
