This is what I call 'Fox Hunting'

I took this photo back during the summer. I had been watching a group of fox cubs for a
couple of weeks on the railway over the otherside of the farm and had this specific shot
in mind as I had watched the cubs constantly criss cross the line.

I had planned the shot to freeze the fox completely but this the only decent opportunity I
got was when the cubs where late out that evening and it was going to be impossible to
use a higher enough shutter speed in the low setting sunlight.

I therefore held the camera as still as possibe with the aid of a beanbag and lowered the
shutterspeed deliberately to give the effect of movement, which I hope you'll agree has worked?

    Camera: Canon EOS 10D + 300f4 lens.

I love this photo! Great creativity. The back lighting is spectacular. The slight blur of the fox works better in my mind than if it were frozen in time, which it wasn't. You captured the essence of the moment.

The only thing I find a tiny bit distracting is the blurred object in the bottom right corner of the frame. Is wildlife your passion? If so please share more, I can't get enough wildlife.

    Thanks for the image, shane
