    I think the POF is the tip of the nose but is it an issue here ?
    Trying to get this a bit contrasty.

    Nice portrait of your dog, good thing it is patient and did not blink with the flash !

    I do not believe the DOF is a problem here ... I like the color, side light, and composition

    As a small improvement I suggest cloning the paw on the right side so it is black all over, no changes on the hair of the ear

    I'd like to see a little more shadow detail, though this laptop is profiled I can't see the eye in shadow.
    Otherwise the DoF seems adequate to cover the eyes, perhaps try a local sharpen?

    Thanks Armando have sorted the paw out and Paul unfortunately there is very little detail in the shadow to work with. BTW hope all goes well with your recovery.
