    Wet market.

I took this during my recent vacation. I am not good at street photography. I was looking for something to shoot in this market. Then I saw this scene. I want to include the structure of the building as well as the people. Does this look just like a snap shot? What are your thoughts?

I like this picture it has life, color, and lines. I would try a corp tho of just a little above the top rail and then into the left and right just to the ends of the table. I think it would flow a little better.

It does look a little bit snapshot-ish to me. But not necessarily in a bad. way. To be more of a thought out photo it should tell a story. Maybe show some faces, that sort of thing. I would have been tempted to get in closer with a wide lens to capture all you have here but with the people and what they are doing or expressing more.

What are you trying to say with this photo - I don't get the title from the photo.
In part it is to direct/head on and would have been better if you had moved to the right for the shot to give an indication of what the people are doing.

Thanks for your replies. I want to get some ideas on how to improve shooting in a market.

Technically the photo is fine--great color and adequate exposure, sharpness. It's just not very dynamic. The people look like statues. The picture needs something to jar it into action visually.

I don't see too much of interest in this one Erithacus, just a number of folks all walking around with their backs to you. Maybe there's just too much happening and not enough human connection.

I know what you mean about street photography. I think you have to blend in so that you can get in close and not alarm people. I was able to do that way back while in Germany but seem to have lost the touch, trying to relearn it.

Nice shot. I think it might have been better a little closer to the people.
