Nice shot, but I think because there is so little color to begin with it would benefit from being converted to black & white. Something I'm not usually a fan of, but in this case I think it would help.

Welcome aboard hope you stay with us and contribute often. This is a very nice shot. I have two comments. I would like to see the image croped a little tighter I think from the top to move the main area of focus away form the center a bit. The other nit pic is I would like to see a bit more contrast to set the elements apart more. Both observation are personal opinion and don't mean to say that the image is not well done. Thanks for sharing.

Personally, I'd shave some from the bottom of the shot, o/w a lovely picture.

I agree with croping a bit off the bottom. I like the color as it is an almost natural black and white with just a hint of color. I think it adds to the "Mistique" of the shot (pun intended).

Res - Welcome to PR critique board! Your first post is interesting... sort of reminds me the fog we get along the west coast. I also feel that you need to increase the contrast and also crop out a bit of the foreground. I've attached a quick mod of the photo with these ideas... to me, it basically looks the same but slightly improves the composition and clarity.

The dead tree on the left looks like a potentially good subject for further photography btw. Maybe you got other shots of it?

I am really torn with some of the comments...I personally wouldn't change anything except to maybe add a little more contrast. I really like the way the mountains fade off into the distance and the rocks in front add a little more depth and contrast to the shot. But take what I say with a grain of salt because I am still fairly new to all of this. These types of shots are my favorites because it brings back many memories of my times on the beaches of California, Hawaii, Oregon and the Virgin Islands.
IMHO, Great capture.

Thank you very much for the input, I also have been thinking about converting to black and white, but I do like the hints of colour that show up. Guess I'm just undecided

GB1...I agree with OT...I think you did an excellent crop. I for one would be happy to hang either of them on my wall. RES...I hope to see more of your photography. I think you have a nice talent and I think as you've noticed..."everyone" here is willing to help you improve. I didn't say it before...but Welcome to PR...glad to have you with us!!!!

I think you've done well here and I agree with most of what has been said. I also like GB1's edit of this to give it a bit more contrast. And most of all, you've got a great place to shoot some more stuff! Really quaint and looks to have lots of character. Would love to see more of this place. ANd welcome to PR!
