This shot strikes me as a 50s-era photo, that you might see as an ad for dish detergent...do you know what I mean? And while I like that aspect of it, I think that you should set it up again, and go for a slightly more "natural" pose...meaning, when I'm washing dishes, I rarely reach for a plate with both hands...maybe a pot or heavier dish...but with a plate, I'm more likely to grab with one hand. You can still get the same idea with one. I prefer the shot with the wet hands too...again, because it seems more realistic to me.

All my opinion though...others may have a different view on it!

And I tried the one hand approach my hand looked deformed doing the real thing lol.

How about sepia with some grain added?

Sepia with the grain added is nice too...and gives it even more of the nostalgic feel.

The one handed one...I think it could work if you took the pic as you were reaching for the plate, like in the original with both hands...not actually picking the plate up...does that make sense? Your hand doesn't look deformed...hehe. But I do understand why you opted for both in the shot.

I'm not a fan of the two photos that show both hands. I think they look more posed and in the one, it almost looks like you're displaying the plate. However, I really enjoy the one handed sepia tone photograph. It looks more natural, especially with the wet hands. The only things I might change would be the clutter (the bowl right under the plate, and the other noise going on down there) at the bottom and the white area on the right next to the spatula. Compostion-wise, it reminds me of many a still life I used to set up for my drawing 2 classes. Obviously I like that, or I wouldn't have continued drawing it

This reminds of photos we had to take in my photo class. We had to take photos of our hands doing things and I almost have the same picture you have, but minus plates. I would crop tighter on the hands. I think youw ould get enough plate to get a context.
