Actually I think you could be just a tad too close and tight on the subject and the background even though it is nicely out of focus isn't distinctly different than the subject.
That leaf in the foreground isn't dong it for me. Sorry.

CF - The subject is ok for what it is, but I think there might have been a more creative angle out there than what you grabbed here. It is a little tight in the frame too. Still, I like the green, reminds me of the east coast!

Thanks for the comments. I liked the pointy parts of the plant and getting in nice and tight just accentuates them. But I agree. No award winner but something to have a bit of fun with.
