Nice soft focus, a little more light around the rings and fingers else the eye stops on the bright backs of their hands.

The polka dots or reflections on the right are very distracting to me.

You might even rotate the whole photo clockwise 10-20 degrees and recrop so the space between the forearms is in the upper left corner.

the soft focus dosen't do it for me. i like the soft light, but i think it could have been slightly sharper. it just looks a bit foggy. i also agree with the suggestion for a tighter crop. other than that, nice job!

    Re: Wedding Rings

You went for the natural look, and unfortunately the natural look does not work well in this kind of shot. The challenge is to brighten and selectively sharpen the rings and yet at the same time, soften, touch-up and de-emphasize veins and other hand problems. You did a little in that direction but should have gone farther. Some wedding photographers even add a cross reflection off the ring in Photoshop or with a cross screen filter on the camera, which by the way also softens the shot.

As you say, it is somewhat of a cliché shot, but at the same time, it takes a lot of work with the camera and post-processing to get it just perfect.

    Good try!

I like everything except the distracting lights on the right. Maybe if you burn the lights in they will be less distracting.
