    Which way?

Self Critique: I tried really hard with the composition, perhaps too hard.

    Does it work for you?

    Great idea.

I think you could crop a bit from the right to get rid of the white sign. AND it isn't tilted enough to look like a design element rather than a mistake.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I really the like the lighting in all except where the brightest light makes the words illegible. I appreciate what MB1 posted, but overall I do like your composition.

    Re: Which way?

I do agree with the cropping, good point MB1. It was shot with a Sigma 10-20, so what you see is what you get

Shebang, Exposure was really hard, I had to fight it, and I thought that over-exposure was better than under in this case.

Thanks for your time to comment.

danic: My "critique" is really more complement than criticism. Your exposure everywhere else is beautiful, I think. I don't know how you could have done any better with what you had. And I really like the star-burst effect above the building. Did you achieve that with a filter?

    Re: Which way?

hi danic, i like it. as far as nitpicking goes, u know the tradition, lol. I would say, i woulda liked it if it was taken from a bit higher perspective. That top rail is obscuring some stuff i really wanna see. Unless, it's blockng some really bright lights then it's doing it's job. nice shot!

Shebang, the star burst is from using an aperture of f16. No filters involved, but you can buy them.

Thanks Liban, I had to compromise on the composition, fit the tops of the buildings in and chop off the bottom, or the other way around, whilst trying to keep the signs in. The exposure was really tough too.

    Re: Which way?

Other than the crop suggested upthread, I find very little to pick on. I know how hard this exposure was! Very impressed that you managed to avoid "flare" from that top left streetlamp (those buggers get me more often than not!) - nice work.
