    Waver

I dont know if you guys have them, but where i live we get a whole bunch of old people who sit on the side of the street and wave at people (keeps them from getting depressed)

i wish now that i wouldve cleaned the bed of my scanner (depending on how good your eye is... you may be able to see what i tried to clone out in PS)

hand processed, any comments or critiques?

btw: the dog hates girls... i tired to pet it but it nearly bit my hand off. (something to do with the fact that the dog belong to the guys wife, and when she died... well i dont know much about dog psychology)

I like it Jessica. Life in America. I wish that there was a teensy bit of detail in the jacket, but overall, it's a great 'slice of life' photo.

We've got an elderly guy here in my neighborhood who does the same thing. He walks all over, and waves at the passing motorists....the local newspaper did a story on him several years ago. Wish we had more like them. Great capture.

    Re: Waver

I think this photo suffers from the same problem that my "Prayer" shot does. The story and the photo seem disconnected somehow. The person seems to be removed from the context of being on the side of a street, and most importantly, being a "waver." To me, it looks like a person out during some parade, irritated by you taking their photo.

Now, that doesn't make it a bad photo, just one that might not communicate the situation as well as it could.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

I agree with you seb, but if i hadnt have told the story then you would have no idea why the guy was in the picture. It's like one of the photo's that demands a caption :P

I tried to get a wave out of him... but he waited until I drove away to actually continue on.
