    " The WaterWheel "

This is actually a small replica of a Mill, on Pvt. Property. When I located it , I was somewhat disappointed in its size.. no bigger that a large two car garage..

The only way to actually shoot this was with a distant focal length, to not give away its size, which I did in Photo #1...

Photo #2, A closer look, and you can probably now get a better idea of its scale, although , I tried not to give that away... perhaps the B+W distracts viewer from actual scale ? And would you have known it was a miniature, had I not told you ?

I prefer the close-up although the B&W may not be the best choice.

Yes, from your shots I can see that it is small (but not how small).
    No, I DON'T need that.

I think this is a really beautiful scene and one I would return to in different seasons to shoot over and over again.

I do like the B&W version, but not as much as the colored one. I think the colors in the wood and the red in the wheel add to the image.

As far as the size goes, I would have never known it was a miniature. There is an old mill in my area that I shoot several times a year. By your description, it sounds like your mill may be bigger than the one I shoot. The one in my area was an actual working mill at one time, not a replica.

I think from my portrait mind set...mostly sales...i often think of things in "groupings" how I would put images on my wall...or how I would package them for maximum sales...what a neat idea to photograph in different seasons! It would be really cool to have the same shot, from the same spot in all four seasons...or is it just my symmetric little brain?
