Welcome to the forum. I think you have a cute kid shot of an adorable child and the pose with the eating the watermelomn is great. My one point here might be that I think shooting this from a lower vantage point so that you could see more of his face and not cut off the shoe would have made a good shot even better. Getting down closer to his eye level I think would be best.
If you have cropped this some from a larger image, then I think leaving more room all around while still keeping him in the lower left corner might improve.

I agree with Gary about the composition suggestions, and his blonde hair is close to being overexposed, but you have captured a great candid moment, so sometimes the aesthetics outweigh the technical side of an image. This is one of those times. :-)

I did crop, because there was a white plate in the bottom right, and I thought it looked better with just the grass around him. I thought the same thing, about going lower, as well. Maybe next time.

And, believe it or now, that's how blonde his hair is!!
