    Re: The Water Wheel

Great viewpoint. The colors appear a bit too saturated, and it could be just a tad lighter, IMO, as a lot of detail is lost on the insides of the wheel.

    Re: The Water Wheel

The background was overexposed in original. I could try and bring the wheel out in PP..something I didn't work on here. Time of day did not allow me to expose for the wheel here..straight from the camera was dealing some very blown out areas in BG. Thx for commenting. Saturation here is straight from the camera however.

    Re: The Water Wheel

all in all, this is real good, Rod. I think the foreground growth and background balance this out nicely.
PLEASE ASK BEFORE MAKING ANY EDITS. THANK YOU.

    Re: The Water Wheel

The second edit works better. It looks as though it is tilted left and I think you should clone the two weeds in front of the lower portion of the wheel. Do you shoot in RAW format? You can really bring some home that would normally be hard to edit in Jpeg.

    Re: The Water Wheel

Personally, I am partial to the original. I do see it over saturated at all on my calibrated monitor.

    Re: The Water Wheel

Sorry, Rob. I meant it is NOT over saturated. Still the first is the one I like, although all three are nice.

    Re: The Water Wheel

Rod, great subject and a pretty good shot overall. I do think it could benefit from a better lighting from a different time of day etc. Maybe a slightly looser crop, especially on top. All in all though a very nice photo.
    Good work
