    Water, trees, and sky

Sorry for posting so much lately, I've just been really busy taking photos all the time, and I enjoy input so that I can learn more and get better all the time. So, I took a walk around town for a while and saw a heron by the bay and took quite a few shots since it was so close up.. let me know which one or two you like best. The sky was also looking very interesting with how the clouds looked, so I took a few shots of that, and then one random shot of a tree/branches. I'm not sure how well the sky/tree shots work, so it would be great to know what you think. I caught the sunset at night, but I'll leave that for another thread, another day.

The third and the last ones are my favourites! Nothing doing for me in 4 and 5! Great lighting on all of them though!! Good work!

i love the second one, the foreground really makes the bird stand out ( i think thats why i like it).

    Re: Water, trees, and sky

Thanks for the comments. Personally, although I like it, I like #5 the least. The second heron shot works well I think with the blue/green mix. It was hard to choose just one good one of each of these shots, and it's clear that some people just prefer different shots more than others. That's why I dont mind posting 3 shots of the same bird, because they are different. I think the second and third heron shots are best, as well as the second and third tree/sky shots...

What is it about the 6th shot that I like so much (green trees/clouds)? It was just a random shot, but for some reason I really like how it turned out.

I think they're all pretty nice, Dave. I can't comment on the sky, because my skies pretty much suck, so whatever you have is better than mine.
