It Is a pretty interesting shot. I have not really noticed water taxis before, so this is something new to me. I was going to suggest a tight crop on the boat, but then it loses the sense of the closeness to the big city.

Nice shot indeed, is it hdr ?

wish I could see more of the water under the bridge, and bit wider behind the boat

The colors are nice and the comp feels right. i do think this would be better without the taxi in the front. the one alone would have been better. It feels a little busy as it is

First thing I thought when I saw this was, wow, very clear. The clarity in this is very good. The concrete city and water are a nice contrasting mix. I agree, I wish there was only 1 taxi. it's still a nice image.

I agree with your wife, that's a nice shot! I've never seen a water raxi before, so that was pretty interesting to see. I also wish there was just the one but overall a very strong image.

I actually like the way this conveys the hustle and bustle of the city with both boats, just a shame that the shot is nearly devoid of humans (I only count 4 in the whole scene). As for the clarity and composition, I think you did fine. Love the columns to the right and the bridge with more buildings beyond to frame the taxis.

I agree with Gary, too many taxi's. They also look like they're steaming towards each other. The pillars and the bridge make for an interesting BG.

To be honest, I agree with all your comments. If I actually thought about this shot before I took it, I would have perhaps done some of what you suggest - as a matter of fact, if I get an opportunity next time - I will. This was a simple "oh, look - that looks interesting - SNAP" sort of moment ...maybe that is what kept me skipping over it ...I did not really "intend for it to happen ...just soft of did" ...still, I personally like the colors, clarity and comp (to some extent, anyway. :0)
