    Water Path

I took this one at a state park in my town and it's one of my favorites. I am just wondering if there is anyway I can make it better for the next time I go there, or if it's fine the way it is. Comments of all kind are welcome and appreciated, and if the photo needs to be played with to show a point that is fine.

How did you get the water to look the way it is? What camera settings did you use? It' a really nice picture....

Whoa, an excessive amount of light at the top right. Almost like lens flare. You must have had the sun up there, as the top seems awfully washed out. O/W a nicely composed shot with the running water from the bottom left to the upper right.

    Re: Water Path

I got the water to look that way by using a very slow shutter speed (over a second), and a very small aperature for a sharp focus. I also used a polarizing filter to get a nice color out of the water, instead of just a glare off the top. As for the top right, the sun was in that area, and in order to get a good exposure on the water I needed to overexpose at the top. I have received comments from friends saying this adds to the photo by contrasting the darker bottom left, but seeing as how they are friends they don't like to point out flaws. So, does that washed out corner add or subtract from the photo? Thank you for the comments and I look forward to hearing more

Decent shot, but that bright top-right area is distracting. A graduated Neutral Density filter might do the trick here.
