On the horizontal one, the missing drops where the lip protected the chair really bug me. The consistency of the drops sitting all in the middle of the "x's" is so strong that those missing few drops seems glaring to me. But here, it adds to the comp. I love the black on black. The balance is just perfect.

Mark and D...it's interesting that you guys liked this better than the horizontal version...I tried a bunch of different crops, and felt that this one and the horizontal one were the stronger ones...heh. D, I can see what you mean about the missing drops on the other one though.

Also very nice but I like the couple larger droplets with their reflections in the horizontal shot. I LIKED that there was an inconsistentcy in the pattern of the drops on the expanded metal. Patterns without some variation tend to be dull - like music without a counter melody.
