By the water line

I was in a local town shooting a video for one of my multimedia assignments and spotted this little bloom sitting beside the water all by itself. I took these with my Tamron 70-200 F2.8 lens. Would really like some critiques on these. Thanks.

Levi, the subject is great and congrats for keeping your eyes open and seeing this.
I think the top or first image is too dark and also i'm not crazy about the blur and drak vignette applied to it.

The bottom, or second image is pretty sweet with a great composition and very interesting patterns and textures in the water. Not quite as tight and busy as the first shot, and I do like it with more DOF like this and no vignette.
