    Cool Watch Your Fingers!

Let me know what you think on this one ... I am more interested in the mood or feeling you get from the image

Please I am not changing the border so don't tell me too!

I love the look of this, The lighting was soft, i set my white balance higher to give it the warm look. I added a slight adjustment in editing as well.

    Re: Watch Your Fingers!

I don't get much mood or feeling from it. The lighting is soft, but I'm not too sure if it suits the subject.

Sorry, it just doesn't do it for me.

    Re: Watch Your Fingers!

I feel the photo is lacking a focus point. There are too many out of focus thorns and the part of the shot that is the sharpest is too close to the top right hand corner of the frame.

I think simplication would work better with one sharp thorn falling off into the brown out of focus area that you see on the top left (I like the lines, color and texture of this area).

    I hope this helps.

I'd change the border. JK It reminds me of a sea anenome a little. I'd like the color to pop more bit.

It gives the feeling of *dry* BUT it looks like you missed your target on the focal point. The spine group that is 2/3 from the left and 1/3 down feels like it should be the one in focus, and it seems you've gotten the whole rest of the plant except that one in focus.

This type of shot would be bst in sharp focus, right down to the floor. Let the mind feel the sharpness of the spines.
I like composition. Keep playing with it.

LOL Nice ! - Ya i have been doing more film so I am trying to cut back, i have been looking at my old photos and they are just way to colorful and unnatural looking so i am trying to not go overboard with colors. This was kind of a washed look, I think i could add some more to the greens though.
