Walking Down a Path in Tanzania ...

Taken from a bus after finishing the Kilimanjaro climb. Very typical scene around that area. I wish it was a little sharper, but you tell me :skep:

Its my favorite so far. I just wish the bus had crossed a bit earlier so that she was down by the curve of the path.

Great shot, I am loving the colors of the clothing, adds so much to the shots. Makes me thankful all I have to do is go to the sink....

not sure what the original looks like, but I think it would be nice to add more depth by keeping in more of the background... also possibly try cropping the right side past that foreground plant?

GB1 excellent, I'd probably crop off the right a bit to put the person off center, probably try to the edge of the leaf of the first plant or maybe not, it's a great shot...

Nice work GB. I agree with the others on a slight crop of the right side, but only a nit pick. A very fine picture.

Frog - Thks. We didn't quite get there that early, but I did get several other shots beforehand. I really think this one is the best though.

I would have hung around for another walker to come by, but the bus split. One thing that sorta bugged me on this trip overall was the lack of freedom that I am used to when I'm driving and can stop my car anywhere for as long as I want and take pix...... Just couldn't do that on such a guided tour. I feel that I missed twice as many shots as I got :cryin: But I think if I travel more often, I'll learn tricks to handle these situations.

Lori - Thanks too. I saw so many people walking in Tanzania. I guess that many of the families there don't own cars. Or perhaps they do, but can't afford the gas! I think someone calculated it to be between $6 and $8 a gallon. In Tanzania, that's more than a lot! But the advantage is that it seems to keep them in very good shape. The porters going up the side of Kili were tough mountain goats alright..

Caleb - I did do some cropping. She was just too small in the frame. Here is the original. I think it might be great very large .. But it isn't really sharp enough I don't think. Not sure what I did wrong on this one.

Shootme, Greg - OK, I can see what you mean. Here's a crop. This one is difficult to edit because so much is interesting, her and the surroundings. Like I mentioned above, would have been wonderful as a large print 'cept for the sharpness issue.

I like the one on the left. I agree that the surroundings are interesting, but they are not really the subject for the shot and they still work for a great composition in the one on the left, well done.

I like the cropped version as per the suggestions given. I alos like the full vertical shot, but would like to see it with the same color balance as the tighter crop image.
