    Hi Xsport,

Of the bunch you've posted here, I like the last one best. There are flecks of blue amidst the rusted chain that really leap out at me. You are also carrying a wabi-sabi concept with the textures of the log and chain that I find quite pleasing.

    Re: Walk in the woods

Hi, number 1 and three do nothing for me in 1 not sure what the interest is - the twigs, tower, or sky.

In 3 I think the colour puts me off.

In 2 reminds me of an alien snake coming in to take a big byte, looking at me with those button eyes.

4 is the real winner for me, the colours, textures and composition are excellent, but what is that chain doing there?

Thanks guys! I always appreciate what you are trying to say to try to improve my work. The chain was actually around I think an old telephone pole that is used as a border for the trail.

2 and 4 are my faves. The only issue I have with 2 is that I wish you had a greater range involved. It's still holding too much to middle gray for me. It takes away from the texture for me.

I agree with what's been said about 4. It has so much more depth.

I do like the first because it's a different take and very creative. I think the twigs needed to be in focus (they seem soft to me) but I do like the clouds and the sky and how you composed the image.
