    Re: Walk in the Skyway

Don, both shots are very interesting. I like the first one alot in the "science fiction" effect of the large colorful screen looming over the dismal, monotone city street. The only thing troubling me is the sky. It seems there was alot of editing done there? does not look right.
The second image has an interesting angle giving the view a look at the scene inside and outside.

Thanks Gary. You guys are too good. I did darken the sky and re-pasted it. I did some light painting to give it the right shape--like a painter.

I do prefer the 1st shot alot! As gahspidy said, it does have a certain sci-fi, near future, feel to it! The Second one doesnt really do as much for me, but I like the way you were able to keep the colours of both inside and outside! Iv'e tried to do that but one always gets darker than the other!

    Re: Walk in the Skyway

In theory I prefer the first one by quite some margin. The second one, while nice, is just a little "ordinary". You certainly couldn't accuse the first one of being that!! I have to admit though that the sky ruins it for me - with a dramatic crisp sky, rather than the effect you have gone for, this would be a winner in my book.

    Re: Walk in the Skyway

I think I'm going to have to go the opposite way from Mike. I like the dark sky and overall feeling of the first shot. I would go through and redo the edit but, take your time to get it nice and clean. Also, might bump up the contrast a hair to give the other buildings and street life a little more depth.

I agree that #1 has a splendid composition, I would like this see his before you replaced the sky. We might have a few PS tips to help you out.....
