    Re: Grass Photo

Welcome to the forum Mindbent. I was just thinking about creating an image along these same lines. Spring has finally sprung here and I can't wait for things to turn green again. I'm not sure what to say about this image. For me, it looks a little soft, but I can still "feel" the texture in the large blade of grass in the middle of the frame. I like your shallow depth of field. I think it helps keep the image simple, where a larger DOF would make this image very busy. Sorry I can't be more specific about your photo...

I like it, it's green and has a good small depth of field.

    maybe mow your lawn? (sorry)

    Re: Grass Photo

Interesting shot. I think a greater DOF is needed, especially with the blade of grass on the left side that's very blurry. Also, the white things on the blades in the background on the left...what are those? They are a tad distracting. Lovely idea, and an easy one to accopmlish and reshoot,

Nice shooting and welcome to the boards,

    Jared

You mean the long white stringy bits?
    Veins.
The dried out remains of veins anyway.
Sometimes, when a blade gets broken, the vein strips out of the broken piece as it's pulled away.
A little gardening with nail scissors would fix it
