Wake robin

heres a red trillium, or wake robin, that i took last spring. it was growing on a steep bank near my house and i had to hang over the edge by hanging on to a tree at the top and then focus my camera ( nikon n2000 with vivitor 550fd flash) to get it. i really like it, but i'm not sure about the DOF.

This is almost perfect for me. I think you went just a tad bit to heavy on the DOF because not all of the petals are in focus (unless you were going for that). I LOVE the foreground leaf. Your colors are bright enough with out being oversat. And the background is blured the way it should be.
