    I really like this. The colors are wonderful, particularly on the boat all the way to the left. I think I would like this even better though if there were no houses or buildings in the background. For some reason, I feel like they take away from the feel of the photo...but that could just be me.

    Ah...see, I like both crops. I like the tighter crop because you're focussing in on the man leaning on the boat a little bit better. BUT, I also like the more panoramic crop...and I think you could take maybe a cm off the bottom of that one to balance the pic a little better. That's just a preference thing for me though.
    But definitely both are stronger without the houses/trees in the background.

    Not sure why this put this BENEATH your post, but anyhow...also I wanted to add that in the tighter crop I really like the way the steps look on the stone wall.
