    Re: Waiting for Santa!

Nice catch, this one I like a lot! I think I prefer the second softer version because it has a more timeless, almost dreamy quality about it.

Great shot! I like the original a little better. Would also look good with reds and greens.

Post this one in a photo contest... It stands a good chance.

I like it, but I think it would work better in color.

    Thats a nice shot!
I to would like to see the color version.
I cant help but think it would look better.
Esp. if it had alot of warm colors in it.

How did you remove the color? Did you use PS to de-saturate or what?

    Re: Waiting for Santa!

The first one gets my vote. The 2nd one is a little too soft for me.

    What a capture!
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Your right, the pink kills it!

    Why is it so green?

    Re: Waiting for Santa!

crappy lighting. I didn't have my settings set for there, it was not a planned shot. I only had one light on in the house and it is a dim halogen light - I just didn't fix it in photoshop.

    Re: Waiting for Santa!

I really like the first one also. Or maybe if the second wasn't so softened? It goes to show that even with non-optimal lighting, you can still produce a great photo.

Thanks! I ended up making it into a christmas card and it was a big hit. It was one I was DEFINITELY glad I caught.

    Re: Waiting for Santa!

I'd prefer the color one if it wasn't for those pink 'jammys.
Its a great catch and I doubt it could be improved much by hours of set up of lights and paraphanelia.
