I wish it was wider at the top, but from doing falls I bet you were as wide as you could get. The frustrating thing I find with falls is where you can get to shoot them. But as far as composition, lighting and exposure I think it is perfect.

I wish there was a little more room at the top. It might be one of those scenario's where after you have looked at the top of the image, you still decide to crop anyway.

thx greg and danic...there is a pedestrian rock walk bridge above and it it took away from the natural illusion aspect of the scene.

Very good! I too wish there were more room at top but your explanation makes sense as to why there isn't.
Seems like every time mankind finds something beautiful they have to build on it.

What a beautiful place! Wonderful shot! I also would like a little more at the top, but considering what was there, I think it's okay. The colors/exposure are perfect!

Hmm.

Nice color, deep and rich. Maybe a tad underexposed but better that than over in this situation. Decent amount of motion blur on the water. Composition-wise, something bothers me though..... it seems close alright, but not sure what is happening. Maybe more space at the top like the others have mentioned, but also, the objects like the rocks and cliffs, though nice shapes, may be geometrically opposed. It just doesn't make a nice outline, which seems to make the image 'edgy' when it should be harmonious. This is all guesswork .. I'm thinking outloud... not sure why it confuses me

I'm with GB1 .. it is a lovely place and the image NEARLY works, but not quite, for some reason which is hard to explain. I don't think it helps that the fall is on the left - it skews the composition to the left and the eye has little to draw it to the right and around the picture (in other words, it gets stuck on the left).

thx for everyones response. This is the only vantage point for this touristy location. I can add the original to show the manmade distactions above the falls..to the left is valley. This canyon park (Rock City) is a very neat place , but your travels are inhibited by walk paths. This was about trying to make it the best it could be given the obvious limitations.

i think you did very well with what you have,without showing the modern world involved,you can barely see the arch of the bridge on the top portion that adds the man made version aspect to the picture,keeping it more natural was the way to go.
