It's nice to see some of your work again Yoyo. I think the nearly symmetrical composition works here. Good title for the shot too.

    Re: Waiting for Godot

This is one of those photographs that are to comment on, because it is very good.
There are a lot of good things going on in it.
    The composition is GOOD!
I like how you have the person in the foreground and the shore or dock that creates a good line. Then all of the sudden you have those two boats at similiar points opposite eachother in the background.
My only issue with this photograph is the light, it's a little harsh.

Great shot Yoyo. Beautiful composition and a great title to go with it. The black and white is superb as always from you and the shot as a whole is a wonderful shot.

    Well done,

    Jared

    Hi Chunk, Brian and Jared,
Thanks a lot for sharing your views. The place was important in the past to welcome VIPs arriving by boat. I have a feeling that the guy is still waiting for VIPs but they will never show up. A really sad feeling for me!

Echo the comments above on composition and use of black & white, really like the title, my only comment is the white object to the left of the image, not sure if it is a bird, plastic container, just find that given the light in the image it is a bit distracting.

    Thanks for sharing Yoyo

Very interesting picture. I'm a little confused as to whether I prefer the person or the boats as the main focal point. Awesome picture though, really gets you thinking.

    Re: Waiting for Godot

You've captured a great moment Yoyo. I'd love to be sitting where that man is. I've been to bombay way back before I got in to photography ( I was too young). But I have great memories of bombay (now mumbai) safely locked up in my brain. A very hustle and bustle city and you've caught the still, acquaint side very well.

As for the title, well I think it's easy to tell that I like it!

Hi Herriot, Thanks for your comment as always. The white thing on the left is a plastic bag.

Hi zenabi, I know what you mean about the boats and the guy. I guess if the boats were further away, the shot would be stronger. Thanks for sharing your insight.

Hi Leels, The shot was taken last Friday. You are right about Mumbai. It is busy and with a lot of energy. I still have many vivid memories in my head.
