    Waiting For Father

I caught this little cutie waiting for her father while he shopped at a roadside market in Luang Prabang in the northern highlands of Laos..

good tones and good lighting on her face.
I would have liked to seen her left hand which looks to be grabbing something...having the hand missing with lots of arm breaks the composition for me...landscape format would have worked. I think it would have been a nice touch to include the hand, but I still think this is a great portrait, especially for just walking around.
    Good capture. Cheers.

You must have done something right because this picture makes me stop and wonder about the subject and her life. You have a good eye to capture something on the spur of the moment like that.

Hi charm,,,,working for a newspaper one gets an instinct that something is about to happen..Quick reflexes help too..

Her father is a tuk-tuk driver,,,one of those crazy 3 wheeled motorcycle taxis found all over SE Asia..She is actually sitting in the back of her father's tuk-tuk..One has to remember these people eek out a living the best they can..

Jurgen, some of my favorites of your shots are the ones you catch of kids. This one is right up there...I love her expression and her shaggy little pigtails...so sweet. I can't really think of anything to critique here, as I like it just as it is.
