Hi,
I go for Photo 3 because of the intricate texture and the composition. Thw texture of the leaf in Photo 2 is very leathery.

I voted for the third one as well, but to me, that is the one with the leathery texture. I really like the pattern.

Hey Chunk,

I also picked the 3rd image, although it was a tuff call for me between 2&3. I really like the rich-leathery feel to #2, but there is something about the shadow that I don't like. I think the shadow adds another point of interest to the leaf, but at the same time, I don't think that what it adds to the image, helps the image all that much. Does that make any sense at all???

I think the first image is too sharp over all. Not that I want to see an OOF photo, but i think that with everything in sharp focus, I think the read leaf gets lost in the image. I really like the contrast between the single red/purple leaf and all the brown ones tho. I als think that if the brown leaves were a bit OOF it would help make the colored leaf pop a bit more.

It has to be number three, number two is a great idea but agree that the shadow just doesn't quite work.

#2 I'm not crazy about the large shadow. #3 looks fine and texture is certainly appealing. I guess I'm the odd one out but I prefer the 1st shot as I feel the composition is very good and the contrasts of the leaves appeals to me. The lighting is a bit too harsh, but I like everything else about it.

Thanks to those who voted and a special thanks to those of you who took the time to explain your choices. I didn't very strongly about that shadowed shot either and you guys let me know I wasn't alone in that.
