    The Volunteer

From the San Diego Rock n' Roll Marathon this morning. C&Cs welcome.

A bit cluttered I think, but it still has something about it.

I agree that it's a bit too cluttered. I don't really know what you where going for here. To me the focal point is the woman holding the cups. The gloves are a little strange looking too. My focus moved from the blonde hair down and then to the gloves where it seemed to stop.

    Re: The Volunteer

Jason - Yeah the focal point is definitely her. She just struck me as statuesque they way she was standing there, which was what I guess I was attempting to capture. As a mostly landscape photographer, I'm finding it tough to see, compose, capture a creative and technically correct shot when you only have seconds to put it all together. I guess practice will help !

    Thks for the feedback -GB

GB, perhaps if you had been slightly to her left rear, the shot would have had more focus on her and less on the bg. Sort of a quartering shot, if you get my drift. I find myself wondering what she looks like.

My focus was right above her legs. Double sorry. :blush2:
