    Violets

    I think these are violets... anyway, I think it could be a better shot, but you tell me what you think.

    AAhh! I wasnt sure that I was right, and now that I know what they are it seems so obvious to me. I need to get to know my flowers better. Thanks for the comment too.

    In shots like these, my personal general preference is to find one (or few) that you can isolate within the DOF while positioning them against a neutral non-competing background. That said, I wish that the background out-of-focus pansies were not there.

    David,,I'm a shite nature (read flowers) photographer so I can't really comment too much on your image..It does look a bit busy and possibly too light..but the purple and green work well together..
