what a gorgeous shot of one example of man engineering feats, we really have advanced as a species from 40 years ago, i too was there one time and i captured the left side,perhaps this could be tied together by another talented viewer out there.

I like the second angle better. I agree that it's a really nice subject, and it has a nice exposure. But I feel the background structure is a killer. The tilt of the sidewalk hurts too. Painters have it made.. they just don't paint what they don't want in there.

I would also clone out the power pole

I agree with Shooter Tiff on the background of the first shot. I think the barn in the background ties in with the shot of the farm implement. I am not sure I would clone out the power pole because that helps illustrate the "then and now" of the subject IMO.
